Review: Michael Kors Wonderlust

Michael Kors Wonderlust Mr Neo LuxeDuring my time in London late last year I spotted the latest fragrance by Michael Kors Wonderlust. I recall spraying the fragrance and thinking this is such a great scent for the warmer months. Unfortunately in true London style, I was there during the height of summer and it was pouring outside! Thankfully our summers are a little warmer in Australia and to compliment the season, Michael Kors has released its striking new fragrance which will captivate and set the tone for Summer 2017.

Fragrance Name: Michael Kors Wonderlust

Fragrance Notes: Italian Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Almond Milk, Dianthus, Heliotrope, Benzoin Siam, Sandalwood Sri Lanka, and Cashmere Wood

Described as: Captivating, confident and sexy. This fragrance ticks all the boxes for me. The scent is classified as an Oriental Floral Gourmand which burst with refreshing top notes of bergamot, before developing a creamy sweetness from Almond Milk. The base notes are a combination of woody accords which add longevity on the skin. The scent was created to introduce a fresh perspective on the Michael Kors World of beauty.

“Wonderlust is an infinite desire for adventure, romance and discovery” says Michael Kors. ‘It’s for the woman with the curiosity and passion to trust in herself and follow her heart’’

Wear it: Day or night during spring. In Summer I would recommend this fragrance in the afternoon/evening – whenever the occasion requires you to be a stand-out.

Price: Michael Kors Wonderlust 100ml EDP $150. Available at David Jones, Sephora and selected Myer stores and pharmacies nationally.

The Verdict:  I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by this fragrance – it was nothing like what I had expected in a good way. When compared to other fragrances in the Michael Kors collection it strikes me as more premium and refined (Michael Kors Signature is excluded). Wonderlust is stylish, romantic and a show stopper! Be sure to try it the next time you’re at the cosmetic counter.
