Review: DKNY Be Delicious

IMG_6540.jpgIt’s been a while between DKNY fragrances but lovers of the Be Delicious collection are about to be tempted in time for summer. Introducing the latest scent Be Tempted by DKNY. Resembling the ‘forbidden fruit’, this new seductive fragrance is housed in a red apple shaped bottle baring a snake embellishment wrapped around it. Tempting right?

Name: DKNY Be Tempted

Fragrance notes: Black Burrant Bud, Devil Liquorice Accord, Red Fruit Accord, Lemon, Rose Oil Essential, Violet, Orange Flower, Patchouli Oil Indonesia, Vanilla and Myhrr

Described as: redder, shinier, sexier and more alluring than ever. This provocative Gourmand Oriental scent flourishes with intriguing Black Currant Bud before unveiling its combination or fruity and zesty top notes. The middle notes combine feminine accords of rose and violet flowers, before revealing a cream base of vanilla and mysterious myrrh. Be Tempted also features a Wine Sap Apple accord which adds a sweet and tangy finish to the fragrance

Wear it: During the day in spring and summer. This refreshing scent pairs perfectly with a day out enjoying the sunshine, a lunch date and to the office. A versatile scent which screams summer casual chic.

Price: Be Tempted 100ml Eau de Parfum 100ml $110. Available from selected Myer stores and pharmacies now.

The Verdict: Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to try a number of the Be Delicious fragrances and I have to admit this is one of my favourites. The notes used in Be Tempted take me back to the original Be Delicious fragrance which has been modernised for the youthful woman of today. Be tempted combines the right combination of zesty, fruity and sweet which is what I enjoy most. The inclusion of vanilla, myrrh and Patchouli Oil Indonesia gives this scent longevity which I love especially during the warmer months when fragrance doesn’t tend to last as long on the skin. All-in-all I have no doubt this scent will be a popular choice in summer for the charasmatic woman of today. Be Tempted also makes a great gift idea because of its fruity/floral composition.
