Hyaluronic Acid isn’t a new ingredient when it comes to skincare. The benefits of this miracle acid have been harnessed by countless skincare products, and assists in reducing the visible signs of ageing. But did you know this AHA is also beneficial for your hair as well? Hyaluronic Acid acts as a fertiliser for hair by increasing growth and strand diameter for thicker hair. It also aids in preventing conditions such as dry scalp. Biology Smart Skincare’s Pure Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner features a bioactive complex composed of three Aboriginal super-berries which stimulate HA in the hair follicle to replenish moisture levels and enhance shine. With my newly dyed hair, I couldn’t wait to road test this product.
Product Name: Biology Smart Skincare No. 301 and No. 302 Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner
What it does: This shampoo and conditioning duo are loaded with steam distilled essential oils and an active plant DNA complex which work to prevent moisture loss and maintain hydration. Active plant DNA, bio-lipids and potent Australian extracts promote softness, shine, assist in detangling and smooth hair fibres to reduce the appearance of split ends.
Essentials oils have been incorporated for their known benefits on the skin along with their effects on the mind. These include Lavender to promote hair growth, Pink Grapefruit to balance oil, patchouli for its repairing properties and ginger for which also assists with hair growth.
Results: The shampoo in this range is a thick clear gel which creates a rich lather when massaged into the hair. It has a nice natural smell and the lavender in this product really shines through. Once rinsed, my hair felt clean and no sign of hair product residue. I didn’t need to repeat this step. The conditioner has a nice creamy consistency which again boasts a natural smelling fragrance. Once applied it has a nice silky texture in the hair which lasts. Once rinsing, my hair felt soft and moisturised. After towel drying my hair felt thick and well nourished. It had a beautiful shine and appeared smooth. A great product which delivers on its promise and is perfect for anyone with dyed hair or who uses heat styling products daily.
How to use: Massage the shampoo into wet hair and scalp and then rinse thoroughly. For a deeper cleanse this step can be repeated. Then massage the 302 Pure Hydration Conditioner into hair and leave for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
Where to buy: No.301 and No.302 Pure Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner are available from the Biology Skincare website. Pure Hydration Hair Duo Pack 375ml, RRP $46. All Biology Skincare products are Australian made from all natural ingredients.
