Review: Tory Burch Eau de Parfum

Mr Neo Luxe Review Tory Burch Eau De Parfum

Women in Australia have been somewhat obsessed with the designs and accessories of American designer Tory Burch. Burch describes her clothing and accessories as sophisticated and down to earth, and the brand’s first fragrance is exactly that – it’s bright and complex and perfectly timed for its spring release.

Fragrance name: Tory Burch Eau De Parfum

Fragrance notes: grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, neroli, cassis, pink peony, tuberose, jasmine sambac, alyssum, cedar and sandalwood.

Described as: Classic and unexpected. The fragrance aims to capture Tory Burch’s casual ease and create a polished optimism. It opens with bright citrus notes before revealing its feminine floral notes. The base notes make the fragrance sensual and add a touch of sophistication.

Wear it: Anytime this spring or summer. The fragrance is fruity and floral making ideal for wear anytime. I see the Tory Burch woman wearing this scent on the weekend when she’s catching up with friends for lunch or enjoying a cheeky wine on a sunny afternoon with her man in tow.

Price: Tory Burch Eau De Parfum 100ml $195. Available now from selected Myer, David Jones and Sephora stores nationally.

The verdict: I have to admit, the first time I sprayed this fragrance I remember thinking within the first few seconds that it was a little simple. Once the fragrance begins to develop on the skin, it unveils its complexity. It bursts with refreshing citrus notes which are perfect for the season and then captivates with its sweet and delicate floral accords of pink peony and jasmine sambac before it leaves a lasting woody impression. Much like the brand, Tory Burch Eau De Parfum is stylish without being pretentious and has a nice chilled vibe. The fragrance is housed in a super-chic, clean glass bottle and features a gold fretwork top, which adds elegance and charm. This fragrance is incredibly versatile and a perfect signature scent for the woman who is feminine but also has a tomboy side too.
