Last Thursday night guests of Sydney’s Slide bar where transported to Paris for the evening, during the 2016 launch of its acclaimed production Risqué Revue. Returning in its third year, the multi-act theatrical experience pays homage to famous European cabarets like the glittering Moulin Rouge. Bursting with aerial artistry and showgirl glamour, the magnificent production captivated the audience with provocative semi-nude acts of both genders, along with a dazzling array of performances – such as my favourite – the aerial bathtub act performed to the hit song Champagne Showers.
To launch the new season of Risqué Revue, Slide hosted an intimate event for a selection of Sydney VIP’s including local celebrities and influencers, to enjoy the flagship show from the venues private mezzanine. Guests sipped on Alize cocktails and premium French bubbles by Luc Belaire Rose while enjoying canapés and the shows magnificent choreography by Sydney Dance Companies James Taylor. The guest list included the cast of hit TV show Here Come the Habibs, socialite Monika Tu, and celebrity presenter Adam Williams.
Tickets for the latest season of Risque Revue are now available, with shows running each Thursday night until November 2016. Three-course dinner and stage show $89 per person. For more information or to book, visit the Slide website.
