It has been proven: if you smell good you’re immediately desirable to the opposite sex. Studies have shown that men who wear fragrance instantly appear confident and a great smell also has positive effects on a woman’s subconscious mind. For decades, perfume companies have been using ingredients considered to be aphrodisiacs to draw the attention of the opposite sex such as vanilla, sandalwood and lavender. In its latest fragrance for men, Hugo Boss has secured an exotic fruit from Africa, which has never been used in perfumery before, to create a seductive new scent that will make you irresistible to women (or men).

The Verdict: What I like about this fragrance is its combination of sweetness and warmth. The fragrance opens with spicy ginger while Maninka fruit adds sweetness and the base leather accords make this scent masculine and sophisticated. To test the fragrances effect on women, I applied the scent in an open plan office where I am surrounded by female colleagues. It didn’t take long before they quizzed me on what fragrance I was wearing and how much they liked the smell. Boss the Scent be my go-to fragrance when I need to turn up the charm this season!
