Review: Uppercut Deluxe Pomade

Review Uppercut Deluxe Pomade by Mr Neo Luxe

We know the timeless appeal of Mad Men hair is nothing new. The classic side part or slick back may look simple, but like the men who have tried and fallen flat will tell you – it’s not as simple as it seems. Sporting this style on and off for a few years now, I’ve learnt the most important factor to achieving this look is the product you’re using. So for all the men who have tried and failed, this product is for you.

Product Name: Uppercut Deluxe Pomade

Styles: Perfect for timeless, classic looks – such as high pompadours, side parts or slick-back sides.

Hold: This product provides a strong, pliable hold without stiffness

Finish: Medium to high shine

Hair Types: Suitable for all hair types which are of medium length

Results: This product is a breath of fresh air. Unlike other pomades I’ve used in the past, I found this product offered a great hold and allowed me to build height. I found throughout the day I could also restyle my look without it becoming fluffy. This pomade offers a medium shine, so hair doesn’t look greasy, and its water-based formulation makes it easy to wash out without a nasty residue. It also has a beautiful tropical smelling fragrance – possibly coconut – which leaves hair smelling amazing.

How to use: Apply to dry hair. Start by working a small amount of product into dry palms. Apply a small amount to the fringe area using fingertips then work from the back of your head forwards making sure to spread the product evenly throughout your hair. Define by using a comb.

Price: Uppercut Deluxe Pomade RRP $24

Where to buy: Uppercut Deluxe products are available online and selected General Pants and Barber stores.
