Review: Skinstitut Even Blend Serum

Mr Neo Luxe Review Skinstitut Even Blend Serum

Skincare fads come and go, but the use of alpha hydroxy acids has been popular for quite some time now. While earlier versions of acid based exfoliation treatments could make skin visibly slough away, the latest formulas leave skin glowing, not flaking. Let’s face it, we all want flawless, smooth skin, and I’m no exception. In the past, I’ve had great results using skincare products containing AHA’s, so I was excited when this product arrived on my doorstep.

Product Name: Skinstitut – Even Blend Serum

What it does: Even Blend Serum is formulated to reduce hyperpigmentation, lightening the overall skin tone to produce a brighter complexion. Formulated with Glycolic Acid, Daisy flower, Wakamine (Japanese seaweed) and Lotus extracts it:

  • Reduces the appearance of uneven skin tone
  • Gently exfoliates for softer more refined skin
  • Lightens age spots, skin discoloration and unveils a more luminous and radiant complexion

Results: I applied this product in the evenings for approximately two weeks. During this time I noticed my skin looked smoother and more radiant. My skin tone was more even with a reduction in redness. Unlike other products I’ve used with AHA’s which usually tingle, to my surprise this product didn’t. Although I don’t suffer from pigmentation, based on the results I experienced and what I know about Wakamine and Daisy flower, I believe this treatment would be beneficial in fading unwanted marks such as age spots and skin discolouration.

How to use: Apply a pea sized amount morning and evening to the entire face or areas of unwanted pigmentation. Avoid the eye area. Apply after cleansing before moisturising.

Skin types: This product is suitable for all skin types

Price: 30ml, RRP $45
