It should come as no surprise that the sun’s UV rays are damaging to the skin. Unfortunately for us Aussies, we experience some of the highest levels of UV radiation in the world, making us prone premature ageing and skin cancer. Being fair skinned, I go from pasty white to lobster in minutes if I don’t apply sunscreen regularly. In the past, I’ve found some sunscreen’s and zinc’s to be heavy on the skin, especially when applied to the face. I recently tried Sunsense Moisturising Face SPF 50+ and was pleased with the results this moisturising sunscreen offered.
Product Name: Ego Sunsense Moisturising Face SPF 50+
What It Does: This light moisturising sunscreen contains SP50+ to reduce sunburning UV light reaching your skin. It also contains ingredients to help maintain normal skin barrier function and Vitamin E, which is beneficial for improving skin texture and tone.
Results: I was incredibly impressed at how light this product is. It applied easily and was absorbed by my skin quickly with no greasiness. Skin felt moisturised and the product smells great. I also found BB cream was easy to apply so I can confirm this product would work well under makeup. My only tip would regularly reapply, especially when swimming. I got caught out once and never made that mistake again. Overall a pleasant product to use that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
How to use: Apply liberally to clean, dry skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Avoid eyes and broken skin. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming.
Skin Types: Recommended for dry skin. I have combination skin slightly on the oilier side and I enjoyed using this product because it is surprisingly light.
