I don’t know about you, but I love a good challenge especially when it’s beauty related. I recently read an article about the latest foundation by Rimmel London, Match Perfection SPF20+, which claimed it was undetectable on the skin. I love a good beauty claim especially when it can be justified. To test the invisible theory, I went out and got my hands on this foundation and tested it on my skin. After all, if it’s invisible, you shouldn’t be able to tell I’ve got it on. You be the judge, watch my review video below.
Product Name: Rimmel Match Perfection SPF20+ & Fix + Protect Primer
What it does: This foundation offers invisible coverage with its wonder-tone technology, while visibly perfecting the skin with soft focus powders. It also features a built-in moisturising complex that leaves the skin feeling hydrated for up to 24 hours.
The Fix & Protect Makeup Primer with SPF 25 provides an extra layer of perfecting while acting like an invisible shield and hydrating the skin. This product also features light-diffusing properties that assist in blurring imperfections. It can be worn alone or under your foundation for prolonged wear.
Results: The Fix & Protect Makeup Primer gives the skin a nice sheen and absorbs quickly. Less is more with this product as it can be runny. The foundation applies easy and blends well providing great coverage. Skin looks perfected and the question on everyone’s lips – yes it’s undetectable. I must admit I was impressed; you don’t have to worry about any unflattering foundation lines that haven’t been blended. The built-in wonder tone technology adapts to the skin quickly giving you flawless skin in seconds.
How to use: Apply a small a pea sized amount of the primer to the skin avoiding the eye area. Apply foundation as normal, I recommend using a foundation brush for best results.
Skin types: Normal/Combination skin.
Where to buy: Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation, $18.95 and Rimmel London Fix & Protect Primer, $13.95 each, are available from Priceline, Target, Kmart, Big W, selected Pharmacies and selected Coles and Woolworths stores nationally.
