Spring is here and just like your wardrobe goes through seasonal changes, so should your fragrances. Pop the warm spicy fragrances out of sight for another year, and welcome scents with fresh, zestier notes. If you have no idea what I’m talking about that’s okay, here are some of my favorite new fragrances for spring.
Calvin Klein – Eternity Now for Men
27 years on since the original Eternity, this latest installment is a modern evolution. Featuring notes of bitter ginger, coconut water, star anise, star fruit, patchouli, Moroccan cedar, tonka bean and Madagascar vanilla (to name a few), the fragrance is described as a lickable oriental. Eternity Now is long-lasting and can be worn day or night, and is just as charming as the original. Eternity Now For Men 100ml, $89.
L’Occitane – Eau De Cedrat Eau De Toilette
The Cedrat fruit is the newest star in L’Occitane’s fragrance collection. The fruit is renowned for its zesty perfume and energizing properties. The fragrance opens with refreshing citrusy notes, blending cedrat bark and sparkling bergamot, followed by spicy notes of nutmeg and blue ginger along with elegant flavors of cedar and cashmere wood. The fragrance is subtle yet elegant and can be worn day or night. Cedrat Eau De Toilette 100ml, $72.
Giorgio Armani – Acqua di Gio Profumo
A classic among classics, this fragrance needs no introduction. 20 years since the launch of Acqua di Gio, comes the third installment to the collection that manages to charm and create a statement. The fragrance opens with a fresh aquatic accord and bergamot. Its heart captures aromatic tones of geranium, sage, and rosemary, laid on the base of patchouli and incense. Long wearing and modern, the fragrance is elegant, refreshing and understated. Staying true to the original, Profumo is long-wearing, and it’s aquatic, aromatic, woody and spicy composition makes it ideal for wear both day and night. Acqua di Gio Profumo 125ml, $150. Available exclusively in Australia to Myer Department Stores.
Crabtree & Evelyn – Moroccan Myrrh
This fragrance takes the senses on an adventure to tropical lands with its use of exotic myrrh. The fragrance also features notes of bergamot, cardamom accompanied by warm amber accords at its base. This fragrance is casual and refreshing and can be worn day or night. It’s perfect for a visit to the shops or an afternoon catch up with friends. Crabtree & Evelyn Morrocan Myrrh Cologne 100ml, $60. Available now at Crabtree & Evelyn stores or online.
